Looking for a quick and easy Christmas treat the whole family will love? This no-bake reindeer poop recipe is ready in minutes, and perfect for gifting or serving at holiday parties!
This recipe is very similar to muddy buddies, but is made with mini pretzel balls instead for a fun, salty and crunchy treat. We love that the shape gives way to a fun name that our kids think is hilarious.
Why You'll Love This Recipe
- No-bake, quick and easy recipe
- Makes the cutest little gifts for families with kids! Free printable tag below)
- Sweet and salty combo-yum!
- Easy to make in big batches for Christmas gifts or parties.
Make it Gluten-Free
- I haven't found any gluten-free pretzel balls, but you can use the gluten-free peanut butter filled Quinn pretzel bites for a fun twist! We recommend starting with one 7-ounce bag, and adding in extra from a second bag if needed.
- You can also make reindeer antlers by using gluten-free pretzel twists instead of balls. Be gentle when mixing, and you might need to use a bit more or less pretzels because of the different shape.
- Check all ingredient labels to be sure they're gluten-free.
- Start with clean dishes and surfaces, as well as unopened packages to avoid cross contamination if needed.
Pro Tip
- Be careful not to over-cook the chocolate. I always recommend warming until almost melted, then removing from the heat and stirring until it's smooth and melty. You can melt in a double boiler on the stove, or in the microwave.
Change it Up!
- Instead of serving alone, add reindeer droppings into your holiday Chex mix or reindeer chow recipe!
- For square-shaped wombat poop, use peanut butter-stuffed pretzels
- You can also call this snowman poop
- For more peanut butter flavor, swap half the chocolate for peanut butter chips. If you don't love darker chocolate, try using milk chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet. You can even use half white chocolate if that's your thing.
- Toss in some mini marshmallows just before serving.
