The easiest holiday treat you'll ever make! This chocolate gingerbread bark is made from chocolate melted in the oven, crunchy gingerbread cookies, and holiday sprinkles. Use parchment paper for easy clean-up!
Why You'll Love This Recipe
- Chocolate + gingerbread is such a yummy combo!
- Only 10 minutes of prep time (plus chill time)
- No mess! Chocolate is melted in the oven in just 4-6 minutes.
- These are the easiest holiday treats for holiday gatherings!
Important Ingredient Notes
- I found Stauffer's gingerbread cookies in the holiday aisle at Walmart. They're the perfect size and delightfully crisp. Sadly, the majority of the cookies were broken, but you can use pieces too.
- It was surprisingly difficult to find white chocolate in bar form. I ended up at Harmons which is a local grocery store with a huge chocolate selection, and found them there.
Pro Tips
- Keep a close eye on your chocolate in the oven, because melt times will vary based on the thickness and makeup of whatever you're using. The brand I used (see photo above) was melted in 4 minutes.
- Gingerbread chocolate bark is a fun recipe to include kids of all ages! Let that perfection go and make a fun treat with randomly placed cookies and piles of sprinkles 🙂
Change it Up!
- Use any kind of sprinkles you like! Walmart has a really fun selection including gingerbread sprinkles, which would be super cute.
- If it isn't holiday season, this recipe is still fun! Swap Nilla wafers, Teddy grahams, or any other crisp cookies you like!
- Make deconstructed gingerbread houses with all the materials you would use pressed into the chocolate instead.
- Add candied ginger pieces

Ingredients
- 4 large bars high quality chocolate (We used 2 white chocolate bars + 2 milk chocolate bars)
- 4 ounces gingerbread people cookies
- 2 tablespoons holiday sprinkles
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
Instructions
- line a large, rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 170 degrees F
- place chocolate bars in an even layer on prepared baking sheet so the sides are touching and bake for 4-6 minutes just until the chocolate is melted.
- Remove chocolate from the oven and immediately press the gingerbread cookies slightly into the melted chocolate. You don't want the cookies to go all the way in, just a bit.Sprinkle all over with nutmeg and holiday sprinkles, and extra ginger cookie crumbles if you want.
- Allow the chocolate bark to set completely. we recommend refrigerating for at least 45 minutes.
Notes
Watch the chocolate closely while in the oven, and remove as soon as it is fully melted.
You can make this recipe using gluten-free ingredients (be sure to check all labels!) We would use Mi-Del gluten-free gingersnap cookies
