First Impressions
The branding for WannaCinn is on point. It has such a fun vibe with bold red and black and devil themes throughout. Be sure to read the quotes on the walls, we had some good laughs!
We've heard about their pitch-forks and were disappointed when we requested some and they were out of stock 🙁 Such a fun idea!
We love eateries with amazing food AND a great atmosphere to match, and WannaCinn does not disappoint.
In addition, we were greeted with friendly service and samples and the staff was very attentive.
We love that WannaCinn is a small, family-owned business with some unique ideas and great branding throughout their storefront and products.
The Menu and What We Ordered
There are two things you can order at Wanna Cinn: Cinns (their signature cinnamon rolls), and Cremes, which according to the WannaCinn website, are "a divine creation of soft, custard-covered, and flavor-infused bread pudding-like desserts...NOT your grandma's bread pudding"
OK, technically there's a third option because WannaCinn has teamed up with Farr's ice cream to offer some frozen options including basic ice cream cups or Frozen Cinn Combos which include a cinnamon roll and a scoop or 3 of ice cream.
here's what we've ordered so far:
- Raspberry Cinn
- The Original Cinn
- Dr. P Créme
- The King's Crave Créme
- The Original Créme
Taste Test: Our Honest Thoughts
We love giving rave reviews, but sadly some of the menu items fell short for us. We found the regular cinnamon rolls to be nothing more than average, but they were noticeably better when we took one home and warmed it in the microwave like they suggested.
There are some really fun flavor options and we recommend you try a few. The raspberry is their classic flavor but we didn't love it, although we found The King to be absolutely delightful!
However, we really must give the Crémes a 5-star review for originality, taste, and texture.
Admittedly, all 3 of us like bread pudding, and this was such a fun spin! Shaped like a cinnamon roll with the flavor of a cinnamon roll, combined with the texture of a truly good bread pudding-yum.
We feel you can't go wrong with The King's Crave in any form, and we also liked the other Créme flavors we tried.
We have our eye on Mr. Perfect and Chocolate Chip next!
Gluten-Free Options
WannaCinn does not have any gluten-free options.
Final Verdict: Would We Return?
Well, we did return to this delightful spot just a day or two after our first visit. Jodi was in the area and grabbed a few more sweet treats for us to try, we warmed them in her microwave and had another go.
As stated above, the regular cinnamon rolls were much better warmed, but honestly not close to the best cinnamon rolls we've had. That being said, some of the flavors really are fun.
The real star of WannaCinn is the Créme, and we haven't met a flavor we haven't liked (although The King's Crave is at the top of our list).
If you go, we definitely recommend you grab any of the Crémes!
